Long and Tiring Day
Well today I was really tired because last night I stayed up until 3am and we went to church.Talk about no sleep! After church we went to the mall and looked for a shirt for pictures. It took forever for us to find a shirt the right color thanks to whoever said we had to wear the same colors. Then we went to Wal-Mart or Wally World to Michael to get a pic. of all of the grand kids.Michael found these ornaments that he started throwing around. One time he threw an ornament up and it hit the ceiling!Well I think that's all that's happened today.See ya!
Joke of the Day:Knock Knock.Who's there?Boo.Boo who?No need to cry it's just a joke.

THANKS MOM!!!!!!
Hi, I'm Trevor and I will be blogging in purple, this is my first time. Today I played Super Mario Galaxy on my Wii.I got three stars so I only need to beat 1 more level to win the game.YES!!!After that I went up to my mom's room.We then started watching the Patriots/Jaguars game.In a little bit we'll propably watch the Colts/Chargers game because Mom's a big Peyton Manning fan.I don't know who will win because when they played in the regular season the Chargers won but the Colts didn't have Marvin Harrison.

Hello from Curt's House
Hello Friends and Family,
I am visiting Curt's family right now in Greenbrier County. We have shared this blog with Curt's mom, Mindy, and now the Mann family has a blog of their own! It is http://www.themannfamilywv.blogspot.com/. The weather was nice today so we took about a 4 mile walk down the river trail. It was cool and foggy because of the previous rain, and the air was crisp. The fresh air in the country was soothing. Marco came with us and behaved really well. Curt actually let him off of his leash, and he stayed with us. Mindy and I are about to make a coconut cream pie so I better go! Yummmmm!
Have a great evening,
Katelyn

A Nicaragua Story from Katelyn

Hello Everyone!
I hope you have had a great New Year's! This evening I'm going to share a few highlights from mine and Curt's trip to Nicaragua. We had a wonderful time! As I was studying for my finals and packing for the trip, I asked God to reveal Himself to me sometime in Nicaragua; just an insight on why I would be there. As we all know, He likes to show up in the unexpected places and when we least expect Him. Well, Curt and I fell in love with an 11 year old boy named Lester from the orphanage we visited every day. It turned out that we decided to sponsor him! When we told Lester we would like to sponsor him and see him again, he instantly said, "gracias" and wrapped his arms around us. The only thing I can say is that at that moment I felt God's presence when we all three embraced each other. It was an indescribable feeling, yet so peaceful and loving. Curt and I had no intentions on sponsoring a boy from the orphanage, and we had no plans on continuing our mission in Nicaragua until we met Lester and the other boys who live in Remar Orphanage.

Not only did the love from Remar reveal God to me, but the physical labor at the work sites caused the Holy spirit to rumble in my heart. Working to bring peace to people's lives gave me such an amazing feeling that I yearn for more. We successfully built two houses out of cement blocks for two families living in the same community as Remar. We praise God for blessing us on this trip, and we can't wait to go back! Curt has already set his heart on a mission to help
the boys at Remar. He wants to install lights for their soccer court in the backyard. As for me, I have my heart set on Lester. I hope that through me I can show him how great is God's love and who is Jesus Christ.

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!

No School Again-Busy Time for Terry and Lisa
Well, no school again today. The next couple of weeks will be very busy for Terry and myself, as most of you know St. Mary's will be opening new Intensive Care Units. My unit, Open Heart Recovery, will no longer be. We are moving up to the second floor and becoming part of the new Cardio-Vascular Intensive Care Unit. So, what does that mean for me, long hours and hopefully very few "glitches" to overcome. I started a new job a few weeks ago, I am the Specialty Leader of the Open Heart Recovery program, basically if any thing goes wrong guess who they come to. At least I am off night shift now and am working day shifts with weekends off. Terry has a new charting system starting at the same time. Can you believe it he is responsible for the whole thing, I don't know how he does it but I do know that I am very proud of him. So I guess what I am saying is that your prayers are needed over the next couple of weeks for a smooth transition for not only Terry and me but for the patients as well. Pray that we will not only carry out the Mission of St. Mary's but, also live it in our daily lives. As always LOVE and Blessings.

Of course it means fast food for dinner at the Ellis house. Katelyn
and Curt came over to entertain Trevor and stayed for dinner. Katelyn
Viewed the blog and I gave her instructions on how to add her two cents worth.
Her posts will be in blue so now we have the following.

So Alex and Trevor are sooo excited about not having to go to school for one more day. Of course Terry and I are up at 5:30am to start our day. Jan, I took some great pictures of our "white" back yard, again I will post those when my husband shows me how. Well, Jan I guess everyone but you knew about the little suprise. I bet you thought "the Ellis' are gone now I can be alone with my blog". I am sure that the suprise was much BETTER. Well have to head out to work. Love and blessings to you all.

Happy New Year!!!
Happy New Year everybody!!! I knew if I started this blog my computer "geek" husband would take over. So, this blog will be a joint effort and I am sure Alex and Trevor will get in on the action too. I am very grateful in this New Year for family. I not only have a wonderful family at home, (Mom, Dad, Stepmom, Stepdad, Sister and her family etc. etc...)but I also have a wondeful extended family (Terry's family) Mark and Jan have always made our family feel welcome even when we invite ourselves into their already busy life. Last night it felt like it was below zero with the wind chill but we had to have a "campfire". Jan being the persistant one that she is made it happen for us all. Terry of course was too cold for the festivities and went in early. You know you are getting old when on New Years Eve you are counting down with the clock to midnight just so you can go to bed and not to see in the New Year. That is just what we did here at the "rockin" Ellis household. Oh well, we had a great time anyway, as usual good food and good company what can I say. Thanks again Mark and Jan for letting us spend the New Year with your family!!!! Hope everyone has a great New Year. LOVE and BLESSINGS to all!!!
P.S. I will add a picture of our fire as soon as I figure out how to download it.

Happy New Year World

Still at Big Brothers house and started off the New Year with a Howl. Ella the beagle dog who has become my close friend decided she needed out to start her new year. Blowing snow and cold as winter out so I delayed my five mile run this morning. I looked at pictures on the puter with Jan instead. Checked out all the grand kids and caught up on Cassie's crew. Learned about the pioneer woman and some chicken lady up in the hills of WV.
Thought for the day: You accomplish little by licking a push over. Tough problems are your opportunities.
Picture is from Alex's mission trip to Brazil.
